Survival, Peace & Gratitude. How Astrology Helps.

Honoring the spaces in between what we want and what we have is such a delicate balance of humility, gratitude, and fortitude. Only accountability can help us move forward with grace. With the state of the world, it is tough to want to express vulnerabilities by sharing and opening up about ourselves, but we can reach others and inspire them to do the same by taking action first. By being the example, we can inspire others to join in and create a new culture of people where everyone actually cares for one another. When there is empathy and support within the community, the vulnerabilities are the strength of the people.. This is all my Libra Sun Energy talking, but transiting Mercury is opposite my Natal Lilith and there are a couple of things I have to say that may seem not to align with this sentiment. It’s part of it, being authentic.

Forgiveness is that much easier to reach when we can keep ourselves authentic, that is why safety in vulnerability is so important. Woah, that’s a lot to take in and process... Sometimes, no matter how much effort and examples and forgiveness we give a situation–the matter cannot be resolved, and this is when consulting a chart for personal transits, Progression and Solar Return, combined, can be ever so helpful. We take less things personal and we can remain objective for a good solution to deploy.

Astrology helps us see ourselves clearly and pinpoints where we can draw internal strength from, and where the people who will not cooperate in our way of life have their exit points. The willingness to be authentic can only come when the ego is checked and in balance. Stories of power struggles come to a head when the perceived authenticity of two is met with competition, not completion or collaboration. It can get dangerous depending on the synastry. When there is an imbalance or transgression of boundaries, a person operates and functions in strange manners instead of the higher frequencies of the transit and progression energies, and if we can accept the situation we are in, we can recalibrate to alchemize the energy at hand. This transmutation does not invalidate or dismiss the transgression itself, but astrology can be helpful to get a bigger picture of how life works overall, for us and for others, giving us a deeper understanding of life and the way it can go if we do things after careful study of the energy.

Personally, the mistakes I’ve made in my life have been those of love or commitment to the wrong people, but my awareness of such issues did not become real until I printed an astrology chart interpretation of my own chart. At that time, I was living in a domestic violence transitional house. I still remember the extensive process of printing my chart on physical paper at the community office, for my night time reading. I had nothing to my name and couldn’t use a phone because technology wasn’t allowed for safety reasons.

I had to live through serious consequences of my subconscious choices and found myself in an alternative lifestyle that came by way of all forms of abuse. It was the only way to make me sit down and read the pages that would take my life into an entirely different path in life. I remember invoking my highest and greatest purpose after reading my natal chart. It seemed to be the recurring theme for me. Nothing else will save me.

I read each page of planetary descriptions, house and aspect meanings–one after the other, as I discovered that an inanimate object, such as a page with ink printed on it, could tell me so many of the things I already knew about me, but also all the things my family had tried to communicate to me about me. The same things about me that I refused to accept were a part of me, were listed on those pages as descriptions of me. I now had to look at myself objectively to fulfill my calling.

Astrology brought me Real accountability. I continue to use it to build the solid parts of my being and to check my ego and determents. This year, with the nodal axis on my Sun Sign, I have had to revisit the multiple themes of abuse and violence.

Join me in the next few posts the next few days, to uncover how natal, synastry and transit charts can be used to see another human being who is transgressing us in a more objective light as a way of transmutation.
