Saturn’s Return
Saturn... The Task Master, Time Keeper, our tough and cold provider. Saturn makes us grow up with the cruel reality of monotonous Life, when it's time to provide for Oneself. The lessons come at us in waves, every 7 years, but right around 28-30, life gets especially tough. Saturn Returns to the sign and degree in the birth chart where it was first found the moment of birth, to show us who we have accumulated to be during our time on Earth. We feel it's influence as responsibility and duty.
Growing up a hopeless romantic, I believed everything about a Libra was true about me, because I only looked at my Sun Sign. I spent many days reading horoscope characteristics about others when I was younger, because I was interested in my dynamic with others in a relationship or even gift giving way.. I had not discovered why certain astrology websites were talking about planetary influences on the horoscopes.. and then, life got real. I started listening to a podcast called @mysevenchakras that has guests who teach us how to align our spiritual energy to our highest potential. While looking into this knowledge shared by people in all industries, I realized that many successful business owners that were in tune with their energetic side kept referring to their Saturn Return as a definitive moment in their life.
My journey into the world of Astrology intensified. I looked for sources of information that gave me direct testimonials and eventually found the reference of Saturn's Return everywhere, including pop culture. When I got serious about my astrology studies, Vedic Astrology became an important part of my astrology journey, and I was lectured on the weight Saturn carries in a chart for marriage, business, and partnership. I looked deeper into Saturn's deliverance for me and others, as my chart has an array of aspects to Saturn.
Understanding the key helped me realize why people are able to grow into themselves after this event. Harsh environments build strong character and a fight for life that becomes spiritual in a rite of passage sort of way. That can mean resetting standards due to failure or ultimate success.
Both are integral in life.
Saturn placement and aspects matter when we look at things like marriage, because when we have harsh aspects or placements with Saturn and Venus, or Saturn sits in one of your angular houses, your astrological make-up gets a grim tone to it, if not worked out properly. Saturn can be influential in the most positive ways as well, but there is always a great sharpness and discipline to this energy that is stark in it's presence.
Once people have had their Saturn Return, life has a more serene tone to it. It levels things out in ways that are necessary to move forward with, in the physical world.
